Our client operates a highly regarded independent school and has recently built a super modern early learning centre to complement the P-12 offering. We are looking for an experienced VIT-registered ECT to teach the funded kindergarten program. The Early Learning Centre itself has six rooms, with three outdoor yards and is beautifully furnished.
With a dedicated and experienced Wellbeing Team, equipped with professional counsellors, speech pathologists are there to support staff working onsite. There is an in-house Chef who prepares a healthy and nutritious menu offered to children, with meals made free daily, including breakfast, morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea.
The curriculum is Reggio Emilia inspired, open-ended and we plan for both the individual child and the group of children as well by the National Quality Standard, the National Early Years Learning Framework and the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework
You will be able to apply your assertive communication and people management skills to engage, inspire and motivate our educators and other staff members as we strive to create a foundation for an abundant future for children.
About you
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- An unwavering passion for children, their learning and care
- Champion problem-solving skills - and able to turn these into win/win for parties involved whilst carefully juggling the needs of the business
- Demonstrated managing experience at both an operational and strategic level and with a culturally diverse team in a long daycare setting
- An ACECQA approved Degree or Diploma as relevant Early Childhood Education, Current WWCC, First Aid and Child Protection
- Extensive working knowledge of the VEYLDF, National Quality Standards and a commitment to bring about positive outcomes for the service.
- Experience and confidence with A&Rs
- You will thrive under pressure and be adaptable in a dynamic environment.
- An ability to develop and nurture positive relationships with peers, families and children
