We are a not for profit, community owned, non government organisation which provides high quality care and education for children, national and state wide inclusion services as part of a National Consortia and operate many community based services to children and families. What you will do:
As a Certificate III Child Care Educator you will be responsible for providing quality education and care to all children as well as building relationships with families. Adhering to the National Quality Standards, you will also assists with day-to-day operational tasks, including but not limited to supervision, serving meals, housekeeping, participating in group time and keeping a safe work environment for staff and children.
Selection Criteria:
- Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent)
- Minimum of 6 months childcare sector experience
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with children, families and staff
- A good level of physical fitness
- Knowledge of EEO practices, WH&S policies and environmental sustainability principles and procedures
- Maintain a valid paid Working with Children Check through the Office of the Children's Guardian
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Identify and Respond to Children at Risk certificate (desirable)
- Commitment to inclusive practices and child protection
- Understanding of occupational health and safety and the National Quality Standard
- Ability to adhere to all Big Fat Smile policies and procedures
