Chef - Boaty's Airlie Beach (Base Backpackers Pty Ltd)

We are currently Seeking a Chef for an immediate start at Boaty's Airlie Beach in North QLD.

This venue (Base Backpacker's / Nomads is part of a large company called Tourism Adventure Group, with sites in Australia and New Zealand. With the Australian Border now open and a current incoming surge of International travelers, we are on the search for a qualified chef to join our team at Boaty's Airlie Beach

Your role will see you undertaking various kitchen duties. You will need to be able to work efficiently alongside our Head Chef, and at times operate the Kitchen by yourself. You will need to complete tasks safely and be able to think outside the box. Tasks the right candidate will take on:

Food preparation
Ability to run a fast paced service
Washing up
Quality control
Stock rotation
Maintaining high cleaning standards
Working under pressure
Ordering
Stocktakes
Weekly Team Meetings
Salary ranging from 60k - 75k Based on Experience

The right candidate will have experience working in or around a kitchen environment within the hospitality industry for a minimum of 2 years. They must have a good level of cooking knowledge and enjoy working with and around food. They must have a valid Visa with the rights to work in Australia and be available to work when required with the kitchen operating 7 days a week.

Must have Current Food Safety supervisor certificate
