Moonee Valley Racing Club (MVRC) is one of Australia's most progressive and innovative Racing Clubs and multi-purpose entertainment venues. It is also home of the prestigious Ladbrokes Cox Plate Carnival. A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join its Junction Club gaming and entertainment venue to lead the kitchen in the role of Chef de Cuisine.
As the Chef de Cuisine you will be responsible for leading and motivating a strong kitchen team made up of casual chefs ensuring all facets of the kitchen operations run smoothly and efficiently. Reporting to the Venue Manager - Junction Club you will maintain a high standard of quality food, service and presentation throughout the Bistro to meet the expectations of guests.
We are looking for a hands-on manager with experience in leading a small team in organizing the production of high quality food according to menu guidelines, in an efficiently and effectively-run kitchen. The successful candidate must have a complete understanding of cost of goods and efficient kitchen operations, procedures and practices.
The position requires someone with a keen eye for detail, the ability to maintain food safety standards, and the capacity to successfully manage administrative tasks. The ability to liaise and build relationships with different departments within the organisation is essential.
You must hold a qualification as a Chef or similar and have a minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
Annual Salary $62,000 + Superannuation.
