The Little Hunter is seeking a talented and dedicated Chef de Partie to join our dynamic culinary team. As a Chef de Partie, you will play a crucial role in the preparation and execution of exceptional steak dishes, ensuring our customers have an unforgettable dining experience.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef in all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, plating, and presentation.
- Maintain high standards of food quality, taste, and consistency, following the recipes and guidelines provided.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely service.
- Oversee and ensure proper handling, storage, and rotation of ingredients, maintaining hygiene and safety standards.
- Monitor and maintain a clean and organized work area, following food safety regulations.
- Contribute to menu development and participate in daily specials and seasonal menu planning.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Adhere to portion control, waste management, and cost control measures to optimize food production and minimize expenses.
- Remain updated on industry trends and techniques, bringing new ideas to the team.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or a similar role, preferably in a steak house or high-volume restaurant setting.
- Proficient knowledge of various cooking techniques, especially in grilling and cooking steaks to perfection.
- Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Creative mindset and a passion for culinary arts.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and communicate efficiently.
- Flexibility to work in a rotating schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
This position is on a casual basis with the potential for full-time hours based on experience and qualifications, along with the opportunity to work in a renowned steak house with a vibrant and supportive team.
