About Us

Adamstown Bowling Club is a vibrant and dynamic community-based bowling club dedicated to providing exceptional service and fostering a welcoming environment. We are dedicated to providing our members and guests with an outstanding dining experience alongside our other offerings. We are currently seeking a talented and enthusiastic Chef de Partie to join our culinary team and contribute to the success of our food service operation.

Position Overview

As the Chef de Partie at the Adamstown Bowling Club, you will work closely with our Head Chef and Sous Chef to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our kitchen. This role presents an excellent opportunity for a motivated culinary professional to showcase their skills, learn new techniques, and grow within a supportive and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in food preparation and cooking according to established recipes and standards, maintaining consistency and quality in all dishes.
  • Take ownership of a specific section of the kitchen (e.g., grill, pantry, pastry) and ensure that all items are prepared and presented to the highest standards.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to execute daily menus, specials, and events, contributing creative ideas and suggestions for new dishes and presentations.
  • Support the Sous Chef and Head Chef in maintaining inventory levels, ordering supplies, and monitoring stock rotation to minimize waste and ensure freshness.
  • Adhere to food safety and hygiene protocols at all times, maintaining a clean and organized workspace and following proper sanitation procedures.
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to help them develop their culinary skills and knowledge.
  • Work collaboratively with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth communication and efficient service during busy periods. 

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role in a professional kitchen environment, preferably within the hospitality industry.
  • Culinary qualifications or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Strong culinary skills with a passion for food and a desire to learn and grow in a fast-paced kitchen setting.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team, with excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices, with a focus on maintaining a clean and hygienic workspace.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
