Your day-to-day
Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:
Making every single meal a feast for the eyes and treat for the tastebuds
Taking pride in your workspace, and owning your section before, during and after service
Supervising Chefs and stewards whilst on shift, and actively participating in the development and mentoring of the team
Managing supplies, equipment and waste
Being cleaner than clean to meet strict HACCP compliance
Partnering with the kitchen leadership team to understand your impact on business goals
Taking on other ad-hoc duties like a true team player
What we need from you:
Commercial Cookery qualification, and previous experience in a la carte service
The strength to lift, push and pull big objects up to 23 kg which can also involve bending and kneeling
A good grasp of reading, writing and basic maths
Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays
A working knowledge and understanding of HACCP procedures
Great communication – you’ll be warm, welcoming and easy to talk to
