Based in the heart of town, the Newman Hotel offers full accommodation, dining and facilities to our guests. We are not like the usual services you might find in remote Western Australia and we pride ourselves on providing clean, modern facilities that are on-par with Perth metro standards.
We are currently looking for a skilled and experienced full time Chef to join our team! You will be required to plan and organise the preparation and cooking of food for our dedicated Palms Restaurant, Bistro & Garden Bar and Purple Pub.
As part of your role, you will be:
- Ensuring smooth daily kitchen operations
- Working with our Head Chef to plan menus and estimate food and staff costs
- Preparing and cooking amazing dishes
- Maintaining food preparation and presentation to our high standards
- Ensuring food safety regulations are met by keeping up with temperature checks, cleaning schedules and other hygiene procedures
- Supervising and training other kitchen team members
- Ordering food supplies and assisting with acceptance and storage of deliveries
This is an exciting opportunity for skilled and qualified hospitality staff. You will hold diploma level qualifications or have at least three years of full-time work experience as a Chef in a busy facility kitchen. You will have a genuine passion for maintaining high service standards under pressure and be able to maintain good relationships with both our staff and suppliers.
We offer on-site accommodation and meals to our staff. This is not a FIFO position.
