Role Overview:

As our Continental Chef, you will be central to crafting a spectrum of dishes that encompass the comforting allure of pub meals and the refined touch of continental offerings. Your culinary narrative will vividly paint the culture, vibrancy, and ethos of Wilmington.

Key Responsibilities:

Menu & Cost Planning: Craft engaging menus while strategically estimating food and labor costs.

Supply & Order Management: Efficiently order food supplies, ensuring freshness and quality while keeping an eye on labor cost projections.

Dish Excellence: Prepare and present dishes, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and taste.

Team Coordination: Work in tandem with staff, addressing and resolving any food-related challenges.

Mentorship: Train and groom junior staff, preparing them for future leadership roles within the kitchen.

Hygiene Standards: Clearly communicate and stringently enforce hygiene regulations to ensure the health and safety of both patrons and staff.

Staff Recruitment: Play an instrumental role in the recruitment of kitchen staff, ensuring we onboard individuals who align with our ethos and standards.

Food Preservation: Skillfully preserve and freeze food items as per requirements, ensuring longevity without compromising quality.

Qualifications & Experience:

Minimum 3 years of experience in a chef capacity, with a track record in both continental and Australian pub meals.

Comprehensive knowledge of fryer equipment operations and safety protocols.

Culinary degree or equivalent is highly regarded.

Exceptional communication abilities, combined with a passion for community engagement.
