ABOUT US:
Nestled in a quaint neighbourhood corner of Cairns, Brother Jenkins has been a hit with locals since opening 6 years ago. We have a strong weekend breakfast and midweek lunch following, and offer a relaxed, leafy courtyard for our community to enjoy excellent food and fabulous coffee. We occasionally host events including intimate house concerts, art exhibition openings and the occasional private function during non-trading hours.
We pride ourselves on having a wonderful team and great clientele, which comes from the love that goes into our work and our attention to detail. It makes it easy to come into work each day with fresh energy and excitement to do a great job whilst having fun in an inclusive and dynamic team.
We have a simple menu which enables us to run a smooth service with fast delivery, and we offer a weekly, fresh and interesting all-day brekky special. We encourage our chefs to contribute new and interesting ideas for changing specials with particular interest in expanding our vegan and vegetarian options.
ABOUT YOU:
We're looking for a chef to join our team - someone who is creative and passionate about food, who can work well (and autonomously) under pressure and contribute to the cafe's team dynamic.
This is a great opportunity for someone passionate about cooking to bring your own flare and flavour to the table.
If you're into the idea of working in a supportive and creative environment, this may very well be the place for you!
