Position: Sous Chef (Full-Time)
Schedule: Shift work
Our client "Bonnie Doon Hotel" is looking for a qualified Chef to joint their growing team.
We are looking for an applicant with the following attributes:

- Able to self manage.
• Preparing for service, which includes ensuring the kitchen is well stocked with the necessary ingredients, as well as cleaning, cutting and marinating food
• Cooking and serving food, while coordinating with other kitchen staff and wait staff
• Maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of the kitchen
• Creating new dishes and planning menus
• Ensuring that dishes meet high standards at all stages of preparation and presentation
• Collaborate with the head chef to design and execute innovative menus
• Oversee kitchen operations, ensuring quality and consistency
• Train and mentor culinary staff, fostering a cohesive team
• Contribute to menu development and ingredient sourcin
Requirements:
- Relevant experience: a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience is required
- Commitment to quality and consistency, reliable and hard working
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a high volume kitchen essential
- Culinary diploma or equivalent qualifications
- Creative flair for crafting exceptional dishes
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Passion for locally sourced, seasonal ingredients
