Port Phillip Community Group (PPCG) is a leading provider of a range of centre-based and outreach programs and services that address complex issues. PPCG’s annual revenue is $1.6M and has an indicative FTE (all types) equaling 11.5 FTE staffed by 22 individuals overseeing an impressive service portfolio which includes information; referral and support; and financial counselling; skill development and pathways to education and employment (as a Learn Local); social inclusion events based on social justice values.

The Role:
The (Chief) Executive Officer is responsible for and accountable to the PPCG Board of Directors for implementing the board’s strategic and policy directions, and for the leadership and daily operational management of the organisation. The CEO opportunity is multifaceted, leading and inspiring the operations team, while ensuring services are delivered to achieve great outcomes for the community and meeting funding obligations. The role will help shape the future directions of PPCG and culture.
Reporting to the Board, the (Chief) Executive Officer will:
- lead staff and volunteers, key projects, submissions, collaborations, and partnerships
- ensure efficient and effective corporate support and service access across all areas of PPCG
- provide advice and governance support to the Board and Board Sub-Committees
- implement the Board’s strategic, governance and policy direction
- ensure PPCG compliance in all legislative, regulatory and audit areas
- implement and monitor service delivery, community engagements, operational, financial, HR, employment, OH&S, and business processes
- ensure PPCG's reputation and performance is highly valued by promoting the vision, plans, services and benefits to the wider community and services partners
- develop and review operational policies and procedures
- implement and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders including funders and key service providers
- identify and pursue appropriate funding opportunities through submissions, advocacy, collaborations, and networks
- develop organisational responses to gaps identified through government and community directions, research, advocacy and consultation

The (Chief) Executive Officer position is offered on a permanent basis at a competitive salary plus superannuation. In addition, you will be able to access attractive PBI/NFP salary packaging.
