Under the leadership of the current long-term CEO, YFS has grown into one of Australia’s leading place-based human services organisations with more than 180 staff.

The YFS Board is seeking a new CEO to build on this foundation: to take YFS to the next level, drive ongoing improvement in impact, and lead the pursuit of new opportunities whilst maintaining the strong organisational cohesion.

As a key leader in Logan, one of the fastest growing corridors in the country, you will advocate for the organisation, sector, and community and drive local sector reform and community building projects such as collaborative homelessness responses.

As an accomplished senior executive with emotional intelligence, your passion for backing vulnerable people will resonate.

Highly experienced in organisational leadership, management, and governance, you will be able to draw on your experience in complex environments in human services or similar and proven capability to build strong culture through inspirational people leadership.

You will bring multi-level stakeholder engagement, partnerships, and advocacy skills to elevate key conversations.

At the core, you will demonstrate understanding and commitment to the voice of the First Nations people and respectful relationships with leaders, communities, and organisations.

At YFS we make a real difference to the lives of vulnerable people living in the Logan and surrounding area. And we want out staff to thrive too.

Since 1983 we have been building people’s capacity to live independently and participate in our local community through a range of initiatives and services. These include programs that help homeless people get into long-term housing, initiatives to reduce the prevalence of domestic and family violence and programs that build employment prospects.

YFS has a complement of 180 dedicated staff and current funding base of $17M.
