AddressRail Projects Victoria (RPV) is delivering some of the biggest transport infrastructure projects ever built in Victoria, including the Metro Tunnel, Regional Rail Revival and Melbourne Airport Rail.
Under the umbrella of the Major Transport Infrastructure Authority (MTIA) and Victoria's Big Build, RPV is responsible for all aspects of the close to $30 billion in projects it oversees – from the development of reference designs, to site investigations, planning approvals and procurement, all the way through to construction and project commissioning.
RPV is also supporting the Department of Transport in planning the future of the rail network in Melbourne's west – delivering the detailed scoping, investigative and development work needed to identify the improvements our network needs through the Western Rail Plan.
RPV's projects are creating thousands of jobs and opportunities for apprentices, trainees and cadets across the state. And they are better connecting Victorians to our suburbs, our regions and – via Airport Rail – the world.
About the role:
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) provides visionary leadership for RPV and its strong workforce.
Reporting to the Director General, MTIA, the CEO is accountable for all aspects of strategy and governance for the RPV's projects and its people.
The CEO works across a portfolio of work including in the areas of front-end development, program management, contract negotiation and contract management.
The CEO drives a high-performing culture that drives change, innovation and continuous improvement.
About you:
You are an experienced, influential leader determined to build a better rail network for Victoria.
Combining strong commercial acumen with the ability to navigate complex, fast-paced and political environments, you know what is needed to deliver high-quality infrastructure cost effectively and on schedule.
You are smart, savvy and passionate about people and community engagement – both the workforce at RPV delivering these city-shaping projects, and the communities they will benefit.
Your strong communication skills and flexible, collaborative and inclusive approach motivate those around you and drive high-performance at all levels.
These attributes, combined with your extensive skills, experience and enthusiasm, make you the ideal candidate to lead the RPV and the delivery of these iconic projects.
