What you'll be doing
The Integrated and Community Health Child and Family Health (CFH) Service provides services to address the health and developmental needs of children in a community context. Nursing and Allied Health services are provided in a person and family centred integrated care model.
The Clinical Psychologist is part of the Counselling team. CFH Counsellors provide a range of assessment, and counselling services for children, adolescents and their families, in Western Sydney, to address behavioural, emotional and development concerns, with a commitment to client and family centred care and multidisciplinary and evidence informed practice. The Clinical Psychologist will contribute specialised skills to the Counselling service, including cognitive assessments where required, diagnosis of mental health/behavioural issues, staff and student supervision, and high level clinical consultation to multidisciplinary case planning and case management.

Essential Criteria
Qualification: Master degree or higher in Clinical Psychology
Registration: Current registration as a Psychologist with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with relevant area of practice endorsement – Clinical Psychology
Selection Criteria
Demonstrated experience in clinical psychological assessments and intervention (individual, family and group) with children, adolescents and their families/carers, including experience in psychometric assessment with children.
Demonstrated knowledge of child development, attachment and trauma informed care and application in child and family clinical settings.
Experience in and/or knowledge of systemic approaches to provision of parenting interventions and family focused therapies.
Demonstrated understanding of the dynamics and effects of abuse, neglect and domestic violence and best practise when working with children experiencing child protection issues.
Effective interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and work with families from differing socioeconomic and /or culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds to achieve client outcomes and goals.
High level of written clinical documentation skills with demonstrated competency in using computer based applications including electronic health records.
Demonstrated excellent time management and organisation skills to provide timely and appropriate services and meet workload expectations.
Current Drivers Licence valid within NSW/Australia
