The administration officer within the Child Protection Unit is required to provide competent, confidential, and accurate administrative support and assistance to clients and staff of the CPU. The administration officer is to assist in the facilitation of service delivery in the hospital setting.
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
- Demonstrated effective child and family -focused service within a highly confidential working environment. Well-developed written and oral communication skills with an ability to effectively interact and negotiate with all levels of staff and multidisciplinary and interagency team in accordance with confidentiality guidelines.
- Due to the significantly complex and confidential information handled by the unit, develop awareness of the unique information sharing requirements and restrictions in telephone, email, and reports communication.
- Due to the core business of the unit involving the processing information of challenging content be vigilant of the impact this may have to self and other staff and seek support accordingly.
- Ability to prepare and populate draft Child Protection documents templates with basic information for the Child Protection Liaison Officers to finalise.
- Demonstrated ability to establish work priorities and meet deadlines in a rapidly and constantly changing environment.
- Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities for improvement and to resolve problems within a team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work as a team member with a high level of autonomy to manage daily workloads and to contribute towards achieving the goals of the Health Service.
- Demonstrated proficiency utilising Microsoft Word, Teams and Excel and the ability to rapidly acquire demonstrated proficiency in the application of other information systems.
