About the role

In these newly created roles, you will support the development, improvement, and management of an efficient rostering function within the Intensive Therapeutic Care, Family Based Care and Specialised Programs functions of our Child, Youth and Family team.

You will be responsible for the creation and oversight of Master & Working rosters, staff availability calendars, along with providing subject matter expertise in relation to workforce management principles, health and safety, industrial instruments, and roster optimisation

These 2 permanent full time opportunities can be based anywhere in NSW, with flexible working arrangements (Including work from home) available.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with key stakeholders to develop and implement strategic and operational plans to manage and improve rostering
  • Provide coaching and support leaders and rostering teams to uplift capability to develop and review master employee rosters that match the required service level, service objectives and funding level
  • Support a geographically dispersed function that manages the actual working rosters, ensuring compliance with award provisions, employee conditions and entitlements and client needs.
  • Communicate and coordinate with stakeholders as required in response to substantial planned workforce/roster changes, roster concerns and complaints
  • Manage employee availability and leave calendars in consultation with leaders.
  • Lead the implementation of governance and overarching approval processes for master rosters to ensure compliance with industrial Awards and Agreements whilst meeting client, staff and organisational needs

Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in rostering, service scheduling, staff coordination and/or roster management within a large, complex organisation that delivers services within multiple locations and funding streams.
  • Working knowledge of processes to predict, plan and implement workforce capacity solutions
  • Demonstrated experience in providing advice and support to leaders and team members on roster related matters
  • Monitor, coach and support rostering teams to enable them to provide best practice support to leaders and direct support teams.
  • Demonstrated experience in the use of rostering systems or tools

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check.
