This Instructor role will see you running 45 minute top-class, high energy kids martial arts training sessions at our Burleigh Heads studio for 4-12 year olds. During these sessions, you will motivate and encourage our young members to learn new skills, gain fitness and confidence, focus their attention and channel their energy, while delivering a 5-star experience for the children and parents.
Our instructors take pride in our mission and the Black Belt Plus brand and work to cultivate a great community vibe within our dojo. Full training and on-going development is provided.
This role will involve the successful candidate working approximately 30 hours/week with the possibility of increased hours over the next 6 months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead kids programs to high standards
- Motivate, inspire and encourage members
- Provide training & technical advice and feedback throughout classes
- Assist in marketing, promotion, acquisition and retention initiatives
- Ensuring the Dojo is impeccably maintained, clean and safe
- Set up and pack down of equipment

- Punctual and professional
- Well presented at all times
- Honest and reliable
- Have excellent communication skills
- Highly organised and self motivated
- Experience in leading Karate, Tae Kwon Do or Group Training sessions
- Demonstrate a motivational, personable and engaging attitude. Is able to bring energy to the experience.
- Motivated and passionate about the martial arts industry
- And of course have a passion for working with young children

- Earn an attractive package - base salary, plus super. Ranging from $45,000 - $65,000
Role Requirements
- Minimum 1 year experience In Martial Arts, Personal Training or Group Fitness
- Cert III in Fitness (optional)
- Up to date First Aid certification
- Queensland Govt “Working with Children” blue card
- Extremely passionate about working with children
- Loyal, honest and always willing to go the extra mile
- Passionate about fitness, martial arts and represents the Black Belt Plus values
- Highly energetic and can build great rapport
- Keen to learn new skills and develop themselves!
Qualifications or years of experience in any of the following will be highly regarded:
- Childcare / pre-school teaching
- Primary school teaching
