ABOUT THE GAME

Macabre is a multiplayer sci-fi horror game developed in Unreal Engine 5 for PC with VR support that will bring the immersive and terrifying experience of high-end single-player horror games to a multiplayer audience.

Guided by Banjo, an eccentric recluse with a troubled past, you'll form part of a small team tasked with discovering the source of peculiar anomalies at an abandoned eco-retreat.

You'll need to keep your wits about you, for cunning creatures are lurking from beyond this world, watching your every move. As you progress, you'll gain access to new equipment, upgrades, and skill sets, proving imperative to navigating and unlocking new areas.

As you search through the procedurally generated maps, it quickly becomes apparent that far greater forces are at play.

  • Understanding of cinematic lighting, lensing and camera moves.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (English).
- Remote working, team collaboration skills - Agile workflows.
  • Ability to manage technical aspects of the task.
  • Advise and liaise technical aspects of the project to the team.
  • Great organisational and time management skills.

BONUS SKILLS

We have a programmer, animator and 3D artist who can assist with the more complicated aspects of the trailer, but ideally you'll have some general skills (or willingness to learn) in the following areas:

  • Understanding of particles and VFX in UE5
  • Experience with Blueprints in UE5
  • General 3D works including set dressing
  • Utilisation/cleanup of mocap and Lida capture on Meta Humans for movement and facial expressions
