This is a Band 5 position of the (PACS) classification system. Hours of work will be determined by the City Assist Team’s operational roster.
About the Role
The City is looking for suitably qualified and experienced Rangers to join the City Assist Team on a casual basis. This position will undertake all aspects of a Ranger position whilst being responsible for providing high level customer service to the community, assist in the resolution of community enquires and complaints concerning enforcement of various State and Local Laws, policies, relevant Acts and Regulations and to undertake all other duties as listed in the position description.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need the following: * Previous experience in a ranger, compliance, security or similar local law enforcement role and ability to interpret and implement relevant Acts, Local Laws and Regulations.
- Sound experience in dealing with the community with an ability to provide a high standard of customer service through communication, negotiation, conflict resolution and investigative skills.
- Sound computer literacy skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment as well as working independently with limited supervision.
- Well developed organisational and time management skills.
- Possession of a Municipal Law Enforcement Certificate (A and B) or Regulatory Officer Compliance Skills (ROCS 1 and 2).
- Possession of a Driver’s Licence, Police Clearance and First Aid Certificate.
- Desirable - Certificate IV in Local Government (Regulatory Services) and Certificate in Firearms Handling and Safety and proficiency in the use of firearms.
