The Opportunity
If you have completed an Associate Degree in Engineering (or similar) and have a minimum two years relevant experience in Civil engineering drafting and can confidently undertake civil drafting and basic civil design, we would love to hear from you.
You must be proficient in AutoCAD, 12D or Civil 3D, able to interpret relevant data from architectural drawings, surveys, maps and geotechnical data and incorporate into civil design drawings. Context Engineering specialises in infill and brownfield Civil engineering and experience in drainage, water, sewer, roads and cut and fill design would be highly regarded.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Work closely with Civil Engineers in a collaborative manor.
- Preparation of preliminary layouts and detailed designs for land subdivisions, water and sewer infrastructure, transport infrastructure using 12D and AutoCAD.
- Interpret relevant material such as architectural, surveys, maps and geotechnical data and incorporate into project design.
- Understand various statutory body requirements and regulations.
- Ensure designs consider associate disciplines such as planning, surveying, traffic, electrical and landscaping.
- Manage deliverables and coordinate drafting staff.
- Perform QA self-assessment on designs before internal review by Engineers.
- Ensure documentation meets company design standards, naming conventions and filing standards.

We are offering a salary range of between $60,000 and $80,000 (incl. super).
