The Role:
Based in Mascot, the Civil Engineer Technician will be responsible for determining the most efficient construction methodology for projects with 5B Mavericks following specifications, safety, quality and the environment.
Key Deliverables/ Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and communicate civil design requirements with consultants, engineering, clients and subcontractors
- Provide geotechnical, civil and structural support to sales, delivery and engineering teams
- Attend site to determine or confirm project requirements
- Participate in project risk assessments and site safety inspections
- Other on-site activities such as inspection, testing and construction
- Evaluate or subcontract geological, civil and structural studies for small to major projects.
- Evaluate and subcontract hydrological studies
- Provide, subcontract or supervise Earthworks, Roads, storm water drainage, erosion & sedimentation control to support 5B solar farms
- Plan and conduct professional engineering works related to geotechnical and civil disciplines
- Carry out detailed engineering calculations
- Develop detailed design, technical specification documents and reports
- Liaise with third party geotechnical, civil and structural engineers or other specialist service providers
- Use existing tools and software to determine cut and fill, earthworks, drainages, costs, etc.
- Work with 5B Technical Development to determine anchoring and ballast requirements at site.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Experience with SPACE GASS is a plus
-Health and Safety experience in construction environments.
Are you our next All-Star?
Degree qualified in engineering with at least 3 years of experience in large-scale utility solar and/or civil and construction
Experience in Civil, Construction, Solar Engineering, Project Costing would be preferable.
