The NSW & ACT Underground Structures team is a leader in the design of underground structures & ACT including cut and cover tunnels, retaining wall, foundations and other civil structures in the NSW market. With a growing pipeline of work across a range of different projects and sectors, we are seeking a mid-level Civil Structures Engineer to join our underground structures team and provide expertise to our projects.
The role offers an exciting opportunity for career progression within a dynamic and vibrant team to deliver sustainable outcomes and client service excellence. With focus on underground structures design, this role would suit someone seeking to be the interface between structural and geotechnical design with a solid understanding of both disciplines, or an interest in adapting their existing skills in one discipline while developing new skills in the other

What are we looking for from you?
The preferred candidate will have a relevant tertiary qualification in Structural / Geotechnical / Civil Engineering with around 5 years’ experience, preferably with exposure to the structural design of underground / civil structures. Your career to date will have included:
Relevant experience in the design and documentation of retaining structures, deep shafts, cut and cover tunnels and/or reinforced soil and rock construction.
working knowledge of Australian Standards, TfNSW specifications and structural and/or geotechnical analysis software
experience in successfully working in a consultancy setting as part of project teams with both internal and external clients. Experience in transport work sectors preferred
Interest in further developing existing skills in both structural and geotechnical engineering
