About your opportunity:
We are looking for an operational claims officer to join our team whereby you will be managing motor vehicle and property claims for our partners Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Co.
In this position, you will:
- Promote QBE’s products and services through fostering great relationships with customers and stakeholders, showcasing our QBEDNA and company values
- Provide an exceptional operational and customer service experience for diverse internal and external stakeholders including our customers, brokers, organisations, and partnerships
- Assist in the growth and retention of business by providing timely and effective solutions that adhere to QBE guidelines
- Process claims in line with set procedures and policies, ensuring that claims are documented correctly, and resolved with a prompt and effective outcome
About you:
If you have previous motor claims experience and are looking to learn new products, then this is the role for you!
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A highly empathetic customer approach and ability to maintain a calm and professional demeanour when processing claims
- An engaging and courteous phone manner with the ability to type and talk concurrently
- The ability to build rapport and provide timely solutions and recommendations with diverse customers
- Resilience with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced dynamic environment
- Strong computer and numeracy skills with the ability to pick up new systems quickly
- Previous experience in customer service, administration and/or operational roles
- An understanding of general insurance and relevant industry legislation and/or previous experience within insurance, claims and industry related roles is highly advantageous but not mandatory for all areas
