The role:

Maintaining a high standard of cleaning in allocated areas and removal of garbage in and around the Hospital areas.

Responsible for performing day to day tasks as per approved cleaning schedules.

The hospital/site/area/team:

At Deloraine District Hospital we pride ourselves in delivering a high standard of personalised care, and to continue to do this we would like to increase our pool of casual staff across many services. We have 20 inpatient beds and look after a range of patients including those

• With exacerbation of a chronic illness, requiring treatment that can not be done at home,
• With life limiting illnesses requiring end of life care
• Needing extra time for recovery and recuperation following an acute illness or surgery

We have an onsite kitchen, community nursing and adult day centre as well as visiting allied health, child health and dental health services. Additionally, we are situated half way between Devonport and Launceston (40 minute drive from each), free parking is available on site and as a district hospital employee, you'll be entitled to a zone allowance!

Deloraine is a charming, historically interesting and attractive town located on the banks of the Meander River. It is surrounded by picturesque and pristine country, and has the Raspberry Farm, Van Diemen's Land Creamery, Ashgrove Cheese, 41 Degrees South and various distilleries and other attractions nearby. As a casual employee, you'll be able to take the opportunity to visit the area and explore our wonderful surroundings.

We would like to employ staff to in crease our casual pool of cleaners in the hospital to help cover short term leave, roster deficits as well as periods of increased activity

Details of Appointment

Fixed Term, casual, day worker position working as and when required, commencing from 18 December 2022 to 18 December 2024

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant

• Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.

Salary: $50,529 to $52,636 pro rata per annum + 10.5% superannuation + access to salary packaging

You'll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

• Salary range is in accordance with Health and Human Services (Tasmanian State Service) Award/General Stream, Health Services Officers, Level 2
