The Diocese of Broken Bay which extends from Sydney’s Northern Beaches to the North Shore and up to the Central Coast is seeking is seeking to recruit a permanent full-time Administration Officer working in a dynamic and supportive team.
This role is accountable to the Executive Officer, Secretariat for Clergy and provides administrative support to the Executive Officer and the Vicar General.

About the role
We’re looking for someone with sound administration skills and experience, coupled with the people skills and initiative to succeed in a diverse role.
You’ll be responsible for maintaining clergy records including personnel files & clergy databases, process visa applications, marriage celebrant registrations, clergy private health insurance membership, coordinate clergy vehicle arrangements, administer arrangements for the arrival of international clergy and those departing the Diocese, clergy retirement and deceased estates.
Comprehensive administration experience coupled with excellent organisational skills and an ability to manage priorities will be crucial to your success.
Previous knowledge or experience of clergy administrative requirements including facilitating processes relating to visas, marriage celebrants, private health insurance, deceased estates and funerals will be extremely beneficial. Experience in Immigration processes will be of special advantage.

The successful applicant must meet the following criteria:
- tertiary qualifications in office administration, project management or minimum 3+ years relevant experience
- the right to work in Australia with no limitations, and
- will be required to undertake a National Police History Check and Working With Children Check.
