About our client:
Our client is a boutique public practice accounting firm with a $2.3m turnover, based 15 minutes West of Perth's CBD.
They specialise in business services, tax, bookkeeping, SMSF and advisory services to a variety of SME businesses, and predominately use MYOB software.
The clientele are within various industries - 60% are in pharmacy and property, with the rest of the portfolio ranging from mining, to construction, health and hospitality to name a few. The largest client has a turnover of $350+ million. The practice also has 33 SMSF funds.
The office consists of 10 staff - 1 Partner, 2 Client Managers, 1 Senior Accountant, 3 Intermediate Accountants/Bookkeepers, 3 admin assistants/receptionist. Additional support is from an outsourced provider in India.
About the position:
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Manager in Business Services to manage their own portfolio of clients, with the view of becoming a Partner.
The client portfolio has a mining focus, dealing with corporate work such as restructuring, setting up new companies, buying and selling businesses, roll overs, ASX and ATO work. An accountant who is confident in dealing with complex clients, having direct client contact, will excel in this role.
You will review accountants work, assist and support your colleagues, and be the 2IC to the Partner. The role ideally needs a Client Manager to be based in the office to support the team and develop their skills for Partnership.
Our client is keen to employ an individual that would like to develop their career within the company and become a Partner in the next 2-3 years, if desired.

Requirements:
Degree Qualified in accounting or a related subject
Ideally CA or CPA Qualified
Minimum of 4 years experience in an accounting firm
Exceptional verbal and written English skills
Have full working rights in Australia - Permanent Resident or Citizen
