Cross River Rail is a new 10.2km rail line including 5.9km of twin tunnels running under the Brisbane River and CBD. It includes the delivery of four new underground stations, two new above-ground stations, accessibility rebuilds for six stations, the construction of three new stations on the Gold Coast, and the introduction of a new world-class 'ETCS' signalling system.

About the Role
The Inner Northern Busway is an integral part of the SEQ public transport network. The Roma Street precinct is a key multi-modal interchange incorporating the busway station, surface rail, long distance coach. With the addition of a new high-capacity underground station, Roma Street will become the State's most significant transport interchange.
The Inner Northern Busway Enhancement (INBE) project will deliver an enhanced customer interface that integrates with the new CRR station and will include upgrade of finishes (tiling, cladding and architectural treatments) to the Platform and Subway areas.
Reporting to the INBD Project Manager, the Client Representative / Site Supervisor will represent the Cross River Rail Delivery Authority (CRRDA) as an onsite presence, with oversight of all INBE related works. The position has responsibility for ensuring that refurbishment works in the INBE project are delivered to relevant safety, environmental and quality standards, whilst minimising impact on rail and busway operations, and maintaining time and cost constraints.
The role will focus on contractor management of various building trades including carpentry, tilers, plasters, plumbing and painters and is a key interface with our project and site stakeholders. This opportunity is offered a contract until June 2024.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide safety leadership and actively monitor site activities to ensure compliance with safety requirements.
- Monitor and assist in the resolution of customer and environmental impacts such as noise, dust, odours and construction staging.
- Maintain quality surveillance and inspections on demolition, structures, building services, building finishes and fit out.
- Provide reporting regarding safety, compliance, progress, and quality.
- Maintain stakeholder engagement with relevant Roma Street site operations staff of the Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) and Queensland Rail (QR) ensuring they are fully briefed.
- Co-ordination of site access and permits.
- Support the coordination of staged handover activities.
- Manage deliverables produced by contractors to meet completion and handover obligations.
- Attend relevant INBE related meetings and workshops including morning prestart meetings.
- Work proactively with contractors and design consultants to coordinate the resolution of RFIs, NCRs, & constructability issues.
- Attendance at after hours and night works as required.
- Positive and proactive approach to maintaining a safety first culture and adherence to safety and environmental regulation and standards.
- Experience in the supervision and coordination of trades in a commercial building environment including management and quality compliance of finishes, fit out and/or building services related works.
- Relevant trade, construction or engineering related qualifications.
- Proven relationship building and stakeholder skills.
- Proven problem-solving and issues resolution abilities.t.
- Sound computer skills and the ability to provide functional and accurate reporting, and communications.
