Marsh is seeking candidates for the following position based in Melbourne:

Client Service Specialist.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY

In this role you will support colleagues and clients in all aspects of administration and technical support through the accurate, efficient and timely production of all policy and related documentation across the insurance life cycle.

Working under the umbrella of operations you will help drive standardisation of processes and procedures. This includes providing legally compliant work to the client and entering accurate information into all Marsh IT Applications, enabling the delivery of analytical statistics. You will assist in upskilling non client facing operations colleagues with additional product and client knowledge.

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Consistently use the required IT Applications to maintain compliance, accuracy and workload, contributing to resource allocation and process improvement.
  • Ensure timely and accurate production/processing of client transactions including but not limited to:
  • Invoices and related policy accounting documentation.
  • Quotation and placing slips.
  • Premium and adjustment calculations.
  • Information and documentation for Pre-Renewal and Broking meetings.
  • Draft policy wordings and endorsements for Senior Account Executive / Principal.
  • Renewal reports and insurance manuals.
  • Certificates of currency.
  • Current and outstanding documentation follow ups.
  • All other documentation.
  • Support the achievement of high levels of client satisfaction through effective administrative support to Account Executives and Senior Account Executives.
  • Support effective working relationships with clients and insurers as required by A/C Executive/Senior A/C Executive.
  • Ensure that accurate up to date records on all clients are maintained at all times.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of all major classes of insurance which the Company offers to its clients.
  • Possess a thorough working knowledge of all aspects of the Insurance (Agents & Brokers) Act, Insurance Contracts Act, Fire Services Levy, Stamp Duties, Worker's Compensation and other relevant legislation.
  • Acquire and maintain an awareness of the client's business and insurance needs, noting all briefing information provided by senior servicing and broking managers.
  • Develop and maintain a basic understanding of the core aspects of relevant Insurance and related legislation.
  • Adhere strictly to the Company's Quality practices and other systems and procedures.
  • Comply fully with the Company's Errors and Omissions avoidance policy.
  • Other duties as may be required from time to time.

  • Innovation - Develops new and alternative approaches to existing practices, creates new or improved processes, solutions, products and services. Maintains an openness to experiment with alternative approaches.

Educational Requirements & Experience:

  • High School Certificate or equivalent.
  • Minimum Tier 1 ANZIIF Broking Licence.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar broking/operational role, preferably in an insurance related field.
