Conplant Pty Ltd is a family owned company specialising in the supply of compaction and construction equipment to a wide range of customers, in particular, within the civil and commercial construction industries, mining, State and local Government.
Conplant’s core business includes the hire and sale of compaction equipment with associated servicing and the supply of parts and transport services. The business currently has operations in NSW (Sydney, Hunter Valley, Dubbo and Coffs Harbour), QLD (Brisbane, Sunshine Coast, Toowoomba), SA (Adelaide), VIC (Geelong) and WA (Perth).

About you
Successful candidates will possess the following:
A tertiary level qualification in business or management with a strong commercial focus and at least 2 years experience in a hire and/or capital equipment sales environment. Experience of sales within heavy equipment, civil engineering or construction environments will be highly regarded as will those in related industries. An in-depth understanding of the hire and/or capital sales markets locally, technology and market evolution as they relate to products and/or services.

Analytical thinking; logical reasoning and the recognition of important pieces of information, making links between these, weighing alternatives and having insight into the relationship between cause and effect.
Commercial attitude; commercial in thought and deed. In sales roles actively using sales possibilities; setting up activities and/or making decisions with direct financial advantages for the business.
Prospecting; ability to develop business in all target markets and to maximise opportunities and convert prospects into profitable sales.
Time and Territory Management; to develop a practical territory management plan to maximise available resources and to effectively cover the defined territory, customers and projects.
Needs Analysis; ability to listen appropriately and probe effectively in order to fully appreciate the customers current and future needs, requirements and expectations.
Networking: looking for and maintaining contacts and co-operating with colleagues, customers and other stakeholders not exclusively for short term gain or profit however fully taking account of the best interests of the business.
Results orientation; focusing on desired results and realising these through measurable activities, engaging in proactive behaviour/activities.
Risk consciousness; anticipating, acknowledging and taking personal responsibility for action against expected risks, obstacles and issues, acknowledging unexpected risks, obstacles. For people activities in the organisation and/or activities in the market displaying insight with regard to cause and effect and acting accordingly.
