About the Opportunity
The Oral Health Team are seeking a driven, passionate and dedicated Clinical Coordinator to join their highly skilled team.

In this role you will supporting the Director of Oral Health in coordinating and managing the clinical services across the district. We are looking for a leader who can provide clinical development and in-service education as well as provide clinical supervision and support to the wider team.

You will be a skilled Dental Officer who is able to assist in the development and implementation of policy and procedure and be looking to make a real difference to the team. Your communication skills will be at the forefront of your role and you will be liaising with support staff to ensure efficient service to patients.

Brining your organisation skills to the role, you will l assist with the treatment of patients as well as coordinating the dental team on a day to day basis while becoming a person of influence in the team who can encourage and support improvements in the workplace.

What You’ll Be Doing
The Clinical Coordinator (Dental Officer) will assist the Director Of Oral Health in provision of clinical leadership and support to dental clinical staff.

The position will assist the Director of Oral Health in coordinating clinical governance activities (including clinical care of patients who have raised concerns via informal and formal channels, management of quality of care issues involving dental practitioners, incident management, planning, implementation, evaluation and reporting on services.)

The position will identify opportunities for improvement in clinical practice, develop and lead ongoing quality improvement activities with oral health staff.

The position will be required to maintain a clinical load along with defined administrative work plan.

How to Apply
To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria as thoroughly as possible.

Unrestricted registration as a Dentist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Demonstrate ability to lead a large multidisciplinary dental team, and ability to advice and support to all dental practitioners within the team.
Demonstrated high level of clinical independence as a senior dentist with ability to accept referrals from other dentists and oral health therapists.
Demonstrated highly advanced clinical skills and clinical reasoning abilities in managing most of the difficult clinical situations, complex medical histories, children and those with physical and mental disabilities.
Demonstrate an earned recognition of their exceptional competence in dentistry and have a proven record for carrying out a broad range of advanced and complex dental procedures, as well as experience in performing procedures under oral sedation, relative analgesia and general anaesthesia.
Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills including ability to liaise effectively with a range of individuals including the general public.
Demonstrate ability to act as a mentor to other clinical staff, teach undergraduate students as well as assume responsibility for providing clinical supervision, advice and support to all dental practitioners within the team.
Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities for improvement in clinical practice, develop and lead ongoing quality improvement activities with other staff, as well as conduct clinical research.
Current unrestricted Australian drivers licence (P2 Licence Acceptable) subject to obtaining NSW drivers licence within 3 months of appointment.
