About the Role

This role will be required to:

• Provision of strong clinical leadership and support the strategic direction for high quality service provision within Princess Alexandra Hospital catchment area.
• Provide direct psychiatric clinical services to consumers of mental health in Princess Alexandra Hospital and lead Community Mental Health Teams in delivering high quality clinical care to patients within the MSAMHS.
• Provide supervision/teaching opportunities to Registrars, Junior Medical Staff, RANCZP trainees and other professional staff within the Service.
• Participate in professional development activities for all members of the multi-disciplinary Mental Health team Active participation in patient safety, audit, research and service planning activities.
• Maintain high level interpersonal and communication skills with members of the multidisciplinary team, consumers/carers/stakeholders of service provision and visitors to the Service.
• Ensure patients and other staff are treated fairly and with mutual respect and understanding, regardless of cultural, religious, ethnic and linguistic backgrounds.
