About the Role
As the Clinical Documentation Specialist, you will be engaging with doctors, nurses, and Allied Health staff to ensure all clinical documentation is complete and accurately reflects the complexity of each patient. This dynamic role involves undertaking clinical documentation reviews, hospital-wide education and assists with quality improvement projects. The CDS works in alignment with the health information team as well as liaising with other leaders within the hospital.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will be able to report on all outcomes in a standardised, efficient, and timely manner. You will be a self-motivated, ambitious individual who can work effectively in a team environment, but also autonomously and have a proven ability to engage with clinicians and other key stakeholders. A passion for quality improvement and promoting culture change desirable.
You will also have the following:
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
- Extensive experience in an acute care hospital setting
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain good clinician relationships
- Excellent critical thinking skills and attention to detail
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite of programs
- Knowledge of the DRG classification system and private healthcare funding models desirable

Requirements
Everyone who joins Ramsay:
