The opportunity:
We have a permanent full-time opportunity for a clinical pharmacist to join our friendly Slade Pharmacy team based onsite at the St Vincent’s Private East Melbourne. You will provide clinical pharmacy services to inpatients as well as assist in our dispensary, ensuring that all pharmacy activities are completed to a high standard while supporting the quality use of medicines.
This is an exciting opportunity to enhance your career in a clinical setting and be part of a great multidisciplinary team environment. This role would suit either someone with previous hospital experience wanting to use their existing clinical skills or someone looking to break into hospital pharmacy. We offer a formal induction program and extensive training by our experienced on-site managers and also the opportunity to attend sponsored industry training.
Key responsibilities:
Be efficient and effective at dispensing and distribution of medication. Fred Dispense experience an advantage
Provide efficient clinical pharmacy services
Conduct medication history interviews, medication reconciliation and discharge summaries at transfers of care
Provide medication counselling & education to patients
Work cooperatively and effectively with multidisciplinary teams and provide advice in regard to patient care
Contribute to training and educational sessions for pharmacy, nursing, medical staff and allied health professionals
Assist to oversee imprest services and continuity of medication supply
Consider financial implications of medication use in hospital and for patients obtaining the medicines in the community

Who are we looking for?
You’ll:
Current Pharmacist registration with AHPRA
Relevant Australian pharmacy experience in either community, aged care or hospital pharmacy
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Highly driven and enthusiastic
High level of time management, planning and organisation ability
Focused on delivering a high standard of customer service
