  • General Surgical & Paediatric unit
  • CN/RN Grade 2 - $53.44/hr - $57.18/hr plus super
  • 8, or 12 hour shifts - no on-call
  • 32 beds - specialising in ENT/ ortho/ plastics/ paeds
  • Full time and part time opportunities over 7 day roster

About the role

Brisbane Private Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a Registered/Clinical Nurse, with excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for delivering high quality patient care to join our established General Surgical & Paediatric unit on a full time or part time basis.

We are a 32 bed, fast paced, high turnover ward specialising in ENT/Orthopaedics/Plastics and Paediatrics (both adult and paeds), along with other general surgical specialities. Having many surgical specialities, this is an ideal role for a surgical nurse wanting to use and grow their skills.

Brisbane Private is a 181 bed acute and rehabilitation hospital with 17 operating theatres conveniently located above the Roma Street Parklands. Specialties include neurosurgery, orthopaedics, spinal, plastics, urology, ENT, Rehabilitation and general surgery and delivery of Brisbane's leading private drug and alcohol programs from Damascus Health Services.

As a Clinical Nurse your responsibilities will include:

  • Adhering to ACORN standards and Hospital policy and procedure
  • Providing evidenced based nursing care
  • Providing clinical expertise and depth to the plastics theatre teams
  • Liaising with the multidisciplinary team
  • Ensuring patient and staff safety
  • Ensuring eLearning and mandatory training is completed on a regular basis
  • Liaising with surgeons regarding equipment

Essential Criteria:

  • Minimum 5 years acute hospital experience as a Registered/Clinical Nurse
  • Current Registration with AHPRA
  • Commitment to Quality Patient Care
  • Sound clinical decision making and problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Works well independently and within a team
