Mater Private Hospital Mackay has an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Nurse - Perioperative. This is a permanent full-time position.
Our hospital has been providing excellence in clinical and pastoral care to the people of Mackay and surrounds since 1927.
Located on the northern bank of the Pioneer River since 2003, our Hospital is a modern 105-bed facility featuring five operating theatres, a fully equipped day surgery unit, and a wide range of specialist clinical services.
Salary range: $49.88 - $53.43 per hour (RN Level 2) plus super plus access to generous salary packaging
About the Role
The Clinical Nurse (CN) position provides advanced clinical and problem-solving skills, expert planning and coordination skills in the clinical management of clients with complex care needs, ensuring quality standards are met.
This role works autonomously within the relevant healthcare team's speciality and structure and is pivotal in the planning, managing and delivering specialist nursing care.
The CN provides clinical leadership for professional and clinical practice, education and research. The role supports management activities, including portfolio responsibilities where applicable.
About you
As the successful candidate, you will possess the following:
Current AHPRA registration as a Division 1 (Registered Nurse) with no practice restrictions;
minimum of three (3) years experience as a Registered Nurse in a perioperative setting
Advanced level clinical and problem-solving skills;
Planning and coordination skills in the clinical management of patient care;
Ability to work within a collegiate healthcare team structure; and
Awareness of, and involvement with, the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards
Desirable:
Postgraduate tertiary qualifications applicable to healthcare team speciality
