The Clinical Nurse Consultant is responsible for providing expert clinical advice to clients, carers and other health care professionals with complex healthcare needs within the Alcohol and Other Drug Service. The Clinical Nurse Consultant is a clinical expert who, through leadership, facilitates excellence in research based clinical practice, education, research and professional leadership.
If you have:
- Nursing registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and a minimum of 5 years' full time equivalent post registration experience in Alcohol and Other Drugs and a postgraduate qualification in Alcohol and Other Drugs.
- Proven clinical expertise and leadership skills in Alcohol and Other Drugs
- Demonstrated ability to implement changes, develop direction in clinical practice and contribute within a multidisciplinary framework in a professional and meaning manner.
- Understanding of and commitment to the effective and meaningful engagement of clinicians in the decision making process that impacts on positive patient outcomes
