The purpose of this role to provide advanced clinical expertise to the Statewide strategic direction and leadership in relation to nursing and multidisciplinary workforce development for Queensland Forensic Mental Health Services (QFMHS). This role collaborates with the Operations Director to lead strategy development and implementation focusing on both the ongoing professional development, education and training needs of all QFMHS staff and opportunities for recruitment of new staff, orientation and emerging staffing positions. In collaboration with QFMHS leadership, establish minimum training requirements for each service and facilitate opportunities and options to meet the service requirements including provision of direct delivery.

Whilst not mandatory, possession of a relevant post graduate qualification (i.e. Graduate Certificate, or Graduate Diploma, Masters Degree) or evidence of enrolment in such a program is highly desirable.
