Our Cardiac Emergency is growing with new opportunity for a talented Clinical Nurse Educator to grow their career and join our team at our state-of-the-art cardiac facility.

Cardiac Emergency

Australia’s’ first on-site Cardiac Emergency with a 24/7 cardiac registrar and unique specialised emergency model will facilitate timely and effective patient care. As the only 22 bed capacity with embedded cardiology services and integrated model of care, it will provide state-of-the-art technology, including Point of Care Ultrasounds (POCUS) such as bedside Echocardiograms to deliver patient centred modern emergency care with access to cardiac care specialists.

Clinical Nurse Educator - Cardiac Emergency

Exciting opportunity for an accomplished Clinical Nurse Educator to work in the cardiac emergency as a key valued and respected member of the Nursing and Midwifery Education and Strategy (NaMES) team. NaMES supports the organisation in achieving their vision and values to provide education and training to advance clinical practice and skill sets to ensure the organisation has a contemporary and flexible highly skilled nursing workforce. In this role, you will provide clinical supervision, support and deliver formal education programs and contribute to the development of policies and clinical guidelines. Key responsibilities include:

Promote and support contemporary education that promotes best practice standards
Provide clinical support to staff of all proficiency levels, novice to expert
Help to ensure that through a highly skilled and educated workforce, our patients receive safe and high-quality care within Monash Health
Work collaboratively with the leadership team including the multi-disciplinary team
Demonstrate agility and work as a change agent

Full Time Fixed Term position until May 2024

About You

As an experienced clinical nurse educator, or perhaps a registered nurse with a strong background in emergency nursing looking for your next step in your professional development. You thrive on a challenge that comes from working to deliver new and innovative education strategies, knowing you are well supported by the leadership team and the emergency. To ensure your success in this role, you will have following demonstrated skills, experience and knowledge:

Demonstrated post registration experience with a strong Emergency/Critical Care focus
Sound understanding of mental health clinical assessment and practice
Demonstrated understanding of various learning and teaching styles
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
Proven leadership, able to lead and mentor by example with a passion for education
Experience in supporting change and contemporary education delivery
Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) Registration
Current knowledge of patient care strategies and adaptable to changes in a clinical setting
Engage with key stakeholders and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
Well-developed understanding of different teaching and learning styles, and ability to demonstrate high quality creation, delivery and evaluation of teaching via various styles.
Excellent organisational skills coupled with proficient computer skills
