About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists for you to join the nursing education team (NaMES) within Monash Health in a temporary part time ( 0.84 EFT) role as a Clinical Nurse Educator. We require a highly skilled clinician with a passion for education who will be responsible for both the development of education resources and provision of clinical support to nursing (and midwifery) staff across Monash Health. The particular focus for this role is within the perioperative services at Monash Medical Centre and Monash Children's Hospital
This role includes providing:
Developing and supporting contemporary education that promotes best practice standards
Clinical support to staff of all proficiency levels, novice to expert
Demonstrating and promoting expertise and best practice standards
Helping to ensure that through a highly skilled and educated workforce our patients receive safe and high-quality care in Monash Health
Working collaboratively with the leadership team including the multi-disciplinary team
About You
You are a highly skilled perioperative nurse with a passion for education. You have well-developed engagement, communication and collaboration skills. You have post graduate qualifications in perioperative nursing and recent experience in acute perioperative nursing.You will have experience in education and supporting learners and in particular, you can demonstrate:
Commitment to quality clinical care and sound clinical skills
Ability to work effectively with a multi-disciplinary team
Ability to show initiative and work independently when required
Ability to demonstrate expertise with a sound understanding of perioperative Nursing
Essential:
