Tell me more...The Clinical Nurse demonstrates clinical leadership and management qualities in the provision of quality, cost effective, patient/ client/ resident centred nursing care in consultation with other members of the health care team and in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia's National competency standards for the registered nurse.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Actively contribute to the provision of a safe and healthy workplace by following all relevant sections of the Work Health and Safety Act and Regulations (QLD) and associated codes of practice, other relevant state and federal legislation as well as TCHHS and Queensland Health workplace health and safety policies and procedures. The provision of a healthy and safe workplace within TCHHS is everyone's responsibility.
- Understand your broad responsibility for safety and quality in healthcare, actively participate in continuous quality and safety improvement activities within the workplace and notify a relevant clinical or non-clinical responsible officer when concerns exist about patient safety.
- Base comprising salary between $96,909 - $103,768 p.a

- Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and/or registration/endorsement with the appropriate registration authority or association. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager, prior to commencement of clinical duties. Current registration with the Australian Health Practice Registration Authority (APHRA) as a registered nurse and current practising certificate is mandatory.
- A post-graduate qualification in Emergency Nursing, Critical Nursing or Rural and Remote Nursing is highly desirable.
- 5 years Emergency experience is essential
