As a specialist disability service provider, we also have specialist Paediatric and Ventilator-Dependent Quadriplegic (VDQ) Nurses. At Home Care provides paid training in these areas, so you can develop these specialised skills and increase your earning capacity in a more challenging role.
About the Role
Are you an Experienced Paediatric Community nurse looking for a change? Look no further as we have the perfect career progression position for you. Our company is seeking a Clinical Nurse Specialist to assist with supporting our Paediatric clients in their homes within the area of Geelong and surrounding suburbs. This unique opportunity will allow you to put your wealth of experience and knowledge into a mentor style role. We are offering a casual position, with 1 day per week for the right candidate. There will also be the opportunity to increase hours as the business expands. These hours can be flexible each week depending on company / client needs.
Job description would include and not be limited to:
- Hybrid community and office-based role
- Regular involvement with clients in their homes
- Conducting clinical training to our support team.
- Completion of client specific Nursing Care Plans
- Clinical sign off for staff competency
- Attending clinical shifts in the community
- Assisting with onboarding of new clients
- Providing clinical expertise at both client and stakeholder meetings
Essential experiences required to be considered for this role include a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the following:
- Tracheostomy and Ventilator management
- Enteral feeding: PEG,PEJ,GJ,NGT,NJ
- Seizure Management
- 02 therapy
- Oral and nasal suctioning
- Catheterisation
Desired but not essential:
- Community based complex care experience.
- Clinical educator experience/ Cert 4 in training and assessing.
