What you'll be doing
As a highly skilled mental health registered nurse, the Clinical Nurse Specialist will provide instructional leadership and foster a culture of practical/evidenced based clinical practice within the current team. Your success in this role is underpinned by your exceptional collaborative skills, your passion for your work in young people’s mental health, and your understanding of the value ongoing professional development and leadership has in maintaining a high performing team.
Your wealth of knowledge provides you with the capacity to mentor your colleagues, offering ‘on the job’ guided practice through innovative leadership style. You’re creative and considered in your approach, with the confidence to effectively nurture colleagues and offer feedback to staff of all experience levels.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
Division 1 Registered Nurse with post registration qualification relevant to speciality and at least 3 years experience working in the clinical area of their post graduate qualification
Evidence of and commitment to patient/customer focused care, clinical governance and quality improvement
Evidence of advanced level of knowledge and skill related to management of speciality area
Demonstrated knowledge in initiating and implementing changes to improve clinical service delivery and outcomes, models of care, evidence based practice and practice development.
Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication skills and computer literacy in Microsoft Applications.
Demonstrated ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team, with an emphasis on service delivery, quality of care and team cohesion.
Available to work a 24/7 rotating roster on the unit.
