Then you could be the perfect Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS2) to join our service. Specifically, we’re looking for a qualified healthcare professional with current authority to practice as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and NSW current Drivers Licence. Someone with three years’ fulltime experience working in mental health and post-graduate qualifications in mental health. Importantly, if you are an overseas resident with a temporary visa, please apply. This position will be open to you if no suitable Australian permanent resident or citizen is identified.

Here at Justice Health and Forensic Mental Health Network, the Clinical Nurse Specialist 2 (CNS2) provides a high standard of care in the assessment & management of mental health issues as well as discharge planning and transfer of care. The successful applicant must demonstrate strong clinical leadership in the ongoing development & review of treatment planning and clinical review systems for patents with mental health concerns. The role and responsibilities are to be carried out in a manner that is consistent with Network delegations, policies, procedures and operations systems, and in line with both the NSW Health and Network Codes of Conduct.

Current authority to practice as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and NSW current Drivers Licence.
Three years’ fulltime experience working in mental health and post-graduate qualifications in mental health.
Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills including excellent computer application skills.
Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills and ability to build strong professional relationships with other key stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to multitask and manage complex workloads within agreed timelines.
Demonstrated experience in the design and delivery of education programs to both staff and patients.
Demonstrated understanding of the values of Justice Health and Forensic Mental Health Network.
