An opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and motivated person who wants to lead and develop the Clinical Products Team for South Eastern Sydney LHD. This challenging role is located at Sutherland Hospital but may be required to travel throughout the District.

The Clinical Products Manager (CPM) is responsible for ensuring that clinical products / equipment provided throughout SESLHD complies with NSW Ministry of Health Purchasing and Supply policies and procedures, NSW Ministry of Health directives, State Contracts and relevant standards. The Clinical Product Manager liaises with clinicians, other staff and external vendors to ensure the clinical procurement process achieves a cost-effective and ‘best fit’ outcome for patients, clinicians and the Local Health District (LHD).
The position holder will provide the focus and coordination for selection, evaluation and implementation of all new clinical products and existing clinical product with significant changes to specification and the reporting of quality issues relating to clinical product.
Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified for this position following suitable labour market testing.
All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course of a COVID-19 vaccine which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). Additionally, Category A workers are required to receive a booster dose three months after completing the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations. New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate (IM011 immunisation medical exemption form) certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW.
Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.

Selection Criteria * Registered Nurse, List A with current NSW Registration from the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with a minimum of five-years post graduate experience
- Demonstrated sound knowledge of clinical products, equipment and their applications within a clinical environment
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills. Capacity to lead change initiative and to prioritise and meet deadlines. Ability to work effectively with clinicians, senior management and health professionals and assist with operational and strategic planning
- Demonstrated commitment to quality activities and providing a professional and customer focused service with a demonstrated ability to conduct clinical product evaluation and manage quality issues
- Proven experience in financial management of a multi-disciplinary service with advanced skills and experience with using online ordering system such as Oracle and Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of purchasing within the public sector, including a detailed knowledge of NSW Government purchasing policies
- High level interpersonal skills, written and oral communication, management, leadership, negotiation and conflict resolution skills including substantial experience in leading negotiations, cost benefit analysis and briefings
- Current driver licence (with a willingness to travel in accordance with the demands of the position)
