Fixed Term Temporary Full-time, commencing ASAP up to 31/12/2026.
The Clinical Project Officer will facilitate operational–level oversight, training and mentoring to department staff across the key portfolio service delivery areas of Patient Flow, CARPS, roster management (including backfill and Casual Pool utilisation) and compliance assurance.
This position will support the Manager to actively engage with operational service groups and clinical stream leaders to ensure that the Department's service delivery is coordinated and conducted in a timely, consistent and high-quality manner, aligned to key clinical service delivery key performance indicators (KPI), goals and objectives.
The Clinical Project Officer is expected to possess a very high-level of operational service delivery acumen and understanding as to the 24-hour integrated clinical service delivery across the Townsville University Hospital.
Generous remuneration package value up to $153,749 p.a. comprising:
- Salary range of $123,752 to $134,357 p.a. (Nurse Grade 7)
- 17.5% recreational leave loading
- 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation.
The ideal applicant will be someone who has proven ability and can demonstrate the following:
- Understanding of the core operational workforce and service delivery requirements.
- Ability to think strategically and convey ideas in a persuasive manner that influences responsive action and decision making.
- High level communication and interpersonal skills, including an ability to write high-level and accurate briefs and reports and consult, liaise and provide effective counsel to senior managers.
- High level ability to engage productively and work cooperatively as a team player within a broad Department serving a diverse workforce.
- Ability to train, coach and mentor leadership and management teams to achieve required service delivery and workplace outcomes.
- Ability to build a committed management and supervisory teams able to adapt quickly and effectively to emergent serviced delivery priorities and business needs.
- Bachelor of Nursing or Bachelor of Midwifery or equivalent is a mandatory qualification for this position.
- Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and possession of a current practising certificate.
- Highly Desirable: Possession of a relevant postgraduate qualification in an appropriate field is highly desirable. Such experience may be discipline specific or have a service area focus.
- It is a mandatory requirement to be and to remain vaccinated against COVID-19.
