About The Opportunity
To be successful in this role, you will have proven clinical assessment and clinical judgment skills and be a true patient advocate. Your analytical abilities will reflect strongly in client treatment plans and you will be dedicated to working with clients, service providers and their families to work through the challenges of receiving. You will be a skilled problem solver who has strong analytical skills. Your critical thinking will form the basis of your clinical assessments and you will be well versed in understanding the requirement of work within the community.
Your experience in Psychology will ensure you can provide a high standard of evidence-based care for clients. As a skilled communicator you will be able to provide therapeutic interventions, liaise professionally with service providers and be a strong advocate for your patients.

What you'll be doing
Delivering specialist psychological and psychosocial assessment, diagnosis, interventions and consultation in order to address the needs of consumers who are living with complex mental health problems and disorders.
The role also participates in the evaluation of clinical outcomes of services and assists in the development and provision of education and training programs. Additionally, the role supervises Psychologists and other disciplines working within the LHD according to organisational needs.

How to Apply
To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria as thoroughly as possible.
Full registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia & Completion of an Australian Psychology Accreditation Council accredited postgraduate Clinical Psychology qualification of no less than two years full time duration or recognised equivalent.
Demonstrated competence in a wide range of psychological assessments and evidence based psychological treatments delivered on an individual and/or group basis.
Demonstrated experience working independently in the provision of patient/consumer-focused care.
Demonstrated knowledge of the quality improvement process for service development, implementation and evaluation.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team to accomplish service goals and improved patient and/or consumer care and outcomes.
Demonstrated high level verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style to suit the target audience.
