Salary: $102,051.00 to $125,151.00 (pro-rata) base per annum

About the role:
We have an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic team leading our approach to the provision of quality care to clients of the Long COVID Clinic. The primary role of the Clinical Psychologist is to provide psychological assessment and evidence-based interventions to those experiencing prolonged symptoms or chronic complaints following COVID-19 infection.
The position will involve being a part of a multidisciplinary team of clinicians providing follow up care to adult outpatients. Other responsibilities include providing specialised clinical therapist consultation and assessment, being an individual therapist for clients within the program, leading therapy groups, working with multidisciplinary team members, individual consumers and their other support networks in the wider community. The role will also involve participation in quality improvement and research to improve patient care and patient related outcomes.

About you:
We are seeking a skilled and energetic Clinical Psychologist who possess a passion for person centred care. We welcome applications from people who are can;
Provide evidence based clinical psychology assessments and interventions to help optimise outcomes in patients experiencing prolonged symptoms or chronic complaints following COVID-19 infection.
Review and evaluate the effectiveness of clinical interventions utilising outcome measures and consumer and carer feedback..
Provide ongoing support and education to staff, clients and carers to support treatment recommendations.
Attend case conferences and liaise with multidisciplinary team members and referring agencies as needed to optimise patient outcomes.
Provide consultation regarding clinical psychology issues and professional matters to other team members and other parts of St. Vincent’s Hospital.
Provide clinical supervision to psychology and health colleagues, be involved in peer consultation and supervise postgraduate students on clinical placements, when eligible.
Maintain clinical protocols and documentation.
Undertake administrative duties, including but not limited to co-ordination of clinical activities of a service.

Selection Criteria:
1. Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent’s Health Australia
2. Minimum two year full-time equivalent accredited postgraduate Masters or Doctorate degree in clinical psychology and full psychologist registration with AHPRA.
3. Endorsement in Clinical Psychology, or working towards endorsement
4. Ability to work collaboratively with consumers within a trauma informed, recovery and strengths orientated framework.
5. Demonstrated ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and experience working in collaboration with Non-Government organizations and community groups.
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds.
7. Current unrestricted NSW Driver’s license or equivalent.
