About the role: We have an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic team leading our approach to the provision of quality care to clients of the Service. The Clinical Research Coordinator involves the management of assigned clinical trials and research with the additional leadership role of Quality Assurance Manager within the Haematology Clinical Research Unit (HCRU) at The Kinghorn Cancer Centre.

The Clinical Research Coordinator will work as part of a team to improve access to research investment for patients and the Institution through high quality research practice and data management. As Quality Assurance Manager, they will ensure evidence based practice principles have been utilised in the development of policies and procedures within the clinical environment and broader organisation. The quality assurance manager is also responsible for regular review of systems to ensure compliance with GCP within the HCRU and lead all audits of the unit.

About you: We are seeking a skilled and energetic Clinical Trials Coordinator who possess a passion for person centred care. 1. Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent’s Health Australia. 2. Holds relevant tertiary qualifications in a health-related discipline eg. Nursing and/or equivalent work experience/understanding of clinical research

3. Clinical research experience with prior experience or interest in clinical and or research quality assurance and GCP trained with trials experience. 4. Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development and education with knowledge of innovative educational strategies, tools and approaches including e-learning 5. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients and direct reports across a diverse range of community and cultural groups

6. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within the interdisciplinary team and demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills 7. High level organisation skills and an ability to prioritise tasks and projects with demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as part of a team 8. Proficient computer skills demonstrated with experience with secure data management, participant trial data collection, participant organisational skills, ability to rapidly master new concepts and skills and detailed knowledge of HREC and RGO submissions
