We have an exciting opportunity to join the Nursing and Midwifery Education team as a Clinical Support Nurse, with a focus in critical care. This is a Leadership position providing education and training to advance clinical practice.

About the Role

Exciting opportunities exists for you to join the nursing education team (NaMES) in an ongoing Clinical Support Nurse position. We require a highly skilled clinicians with a passion for education who will be responsible for providing clinical and educational support to nursing staff with a particular focus on undergraduate nurses in the critical care areas across various locations.

Some of your specific accountabilities will include:
  • providing contemporary education that promotes best practice standards.
  • clinical support to undergraduate nurses and staff of all proficiency levels,
  • demonstrating and promoting best practice standards
  • helping to ensure that through a highly skilled and educated workforce our patients receive safe and high-quality care
  • working collaboratively with the leadership team including the multi-disciplinary team
About You:
  • Current registration with NMBA;
  • Recent relevant clinical experience in nursing;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • A sound understanding of clinical supervision, clinical assessment and advanced clinical practice;
  • An understanding of different learning and teaching styles;
  • Completion of or working towards post graduate qualification in nursing and/or education;
  • Completion of or working towards Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is also highly regarded
